Nell Milne’s free and easy style is all her own. She likes
bright and vivid colors and use various found objects to add texture
to her work. Always experimenting, Nell finds new and different
materials a challenge.
Nell has been painting and studying since the early 1960,s
while living in Japan with her Air Force husband . It was there that
her interest in art flourished under the instruction of Japanese
artist and teachers.
After moving to Montgomery, Alabama she continued to study
with local artist and to attend workshops. One of the workshops was
as far away as Australia.
Nell has a painting published in Maxine Masterfield’s book “In
Harmony with Nature” and credits her as greatly influencing her
work. She has also studied with Gerald Brommer and Virginia Williams
and Pat San Sousi to mention a few.
She is a member of the International Society Experimental
Artists, Morgantown WV Art Association, Appellation Gallery and the
Monongalia Art Center. She has painting in private collections
through the United States and abroad.
